Gajen Nad, comedian

21-Sep-15 20:00

Gajen Nad

Tonight, he’s a man who started off by studying engineering in Monash, started their first comedy show and now is a full fledged comedian with over 150 shows under his belt; he is Malaysia’s only Chindian stand-up comedian, it’s Gajen Nad!

Born in Penang and has been based in KL ever since he started college. In 2009 he started comedy and got traction for his antics at university whilst forming Monash’s first ever comedy show in 2012 front of a full house of 350 people from 10 different countries!

Things really started to go in Gajen’s favour when in 2013, NTV7 made a 30-minute documentary about Gajen and his life as a comedian. Later in the same year, he was called for to perform at TEDxKL alongside with our previous guest, Jinnyboy.

He has shared the stage with international comedians from US, UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore such as Paul Ogata, Jonathan Atherton, Vivek Mahbubani and many more. One of his highlights was when he opened for Paul for Comedy Bah at Sabah.

Recently, Gajen hosted the two-day full house show Minority Retort, the stand up show which featured our last two comedy guests, Thenesh and Luwita. Also, he will also be hosting a few shows for Jason Leong’s upcoming college comedy tour Comedians Of The Colleges later in October!

For the record, Gajen scored 14!
