Carmen Soo

Tonight we’ve had the ever so lovely in our studios, Carmen Soo! A resume so long, so vast, where do we even start? Modeling left-right-centre of Asia, performances in both the little and big screen, also a bit of singing thrown in, Carmen is woman whose talents run as far as it needs and then some!

Carmen’s story started at the age of 17, where a win in a local modeling competition opened doors and bridges for her to enter the Malaysian modeling circuit. With three years of modeling under her belt, new avenues arrives as Carmen heads for Hong Kong to kick her career into a higher gear.

After a few years, Carmen is now gracing magazine covers all over of Hong Kong and turned into Longines’ ambassador for the things she’d done. She was bit by the acting bug thanks to a small role she landed for Jackie Chan’s 1999 film, Gorgeous. She took a two month long acting workshop and honed her skills. It payed off when in 2006, starring with Nicholas Teo and Amber Chia in the film The 3rd Generation. She won The Most Promising Actress Awards from Malaysian Film Festival 2006.

2008 saw her rise in the Philippines entertainment scene with her lead role of Margaret in the hit television series, Kahit Isang Saglit. The show rallied to be nominated for Telenovelas at The 37th International Emmy Awards. Currently, Carmen is still travelling all over for magazines covers, fashion shoots, ambassador work. She is casted as a teacher for the popular local television series, Oh My English!

For the record, Carmen scored 12!
