Countdown Indonesia - Home and Abroad

This week, we focus on Indonesia as it faces its third direct Presidential elections. The face off between two teams, both standing an equal chance at the polls on 9 July, has had more than ripple effects across the Straits of Malacca. We bring you stories of the Indonesian election in Malaysia as well as an interview with an editor of Inside Indonesia. The 3-decades old magazine, founded and run by activists and academics, produced and edited in Australia, is proof that voluntarism and intellectual engagement can create media that works.
