Countdown Indonesia – Does Jokowi have the Face for the Job?

For the first time in Indonesia’s democratic history, the country has elected a President who is not from the military or political elite. Joko Widodo was declared the winner, but the loser Prabowo Subianto is still contesting the final count. Jokowi as he is affectionately known, secured 53 percent of the vote-- 8 million more votes than his rival Prabowo Subianto. Asia Calling’s Rebecca Henschke in Jakarta reports on an electoral win many see as a turning point for the country.

This is a report by Asia Calling, which is produced by KBR 68H in Jakarta.
