Homegrown Colognes with a Convenient Twist

Solid colognes have become a newer, more convenient way of smelling good without lugging a glass bottle around. That’s what got Nigel Alwis and Kimberly Xavier into the cologne game. A couple of creatives from the ad industry, the duo taught themselves how to mix bases, scents, and natural ingredients to create a range of colognes that serve a casual, urban market that favors practicality. We speak to the founders about juggling a full time job with their “scented side-hustle”, figuring out packaging and design, as well as the business of selling colognes online.
