Is Western Media Coverage of COVID-19 Racist?

As the world continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, much of the global media coverage of the crisis comes from Western media outlets. But many observers have pointed out that this coverage tends to undermine or overlook the efforts and achievements of non-white or non-Western countries. We discuss the issue of racism when it comes to global media coverage of the pandemic, and how it reflects a larger need to decolonise discussions on global health.
