Corruption and the Malaysian Civil Service

The recently released Corruption Perception Index by Transparency International showed Malaysia made little progress in fighting corruption. This, in addition to the Auditor-General's report which exposed excessive wastage within various ministries has led public perception of the Malaysian Civil Service to go on a downward spiral. We speak to two formal senior servants, Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam and Tan Sri Simon Sipaun, about the prevalence of corruption during their experience serving in the government and get their thoughts on the current state of the civil service.
