MySihat No More?

Many of the health issues we face today are linked to our lifestyles and daily habits – hence, the constant messages about adopting healthier lifestyles. In line with that, health promotion plays a central role in encouraging people to take control of their health in order to prevent illnesses. Yet, the Minister of Health Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ismail recently tabled a Bill in Parliament, which will see the Malaysian Health Promotion Board (MySihat) being abolished. Dr Zarihah Mohd Zain, Medical Director, MyWATCH and Thavaraj Subramaniam, Former Board Member, MySihat, join us to discuss the implications of this development.
