Ling Low

Tonight we were joined by the multi-talented, Ling Low! Currently the the Editor-in-Chief of Poskod.MY, an online magazine website which focuses on Malaysian life and current affairs.

Before the powerhouse of a journalist she is, Ling said via her Tumblr page that she started her own newspaper at the age of eight, titled ‘Lingo Reporting’, chronicling her family’s life, including the naming of the new goldfish. Unfortunately, the print faded but she found herself interning for UK’s The Guardian from 2007 to 2008, followed by an internship at BBC’s ‘The Culture Show’ in 2009.

A few years later, she sprouted films under the name ‘Sweet and Low films’. A short video documentary homage on Radiohead was created, she directed OJ Law’s ‘Tongue-Tied’ music video and wrote and directed her own short drama called, ‘Closure’ in 2013 which premiered at the Brussels Short Film Festival in 2014.

Adding to that, ever since 2013, she’s been an associate producer for Cooler Lumpur Festival. With her team, the Poskod Journalism Campus has been a yearly success for all those who have an interest in journalism.

For the record, Ling scored 13!
