Goldfish and Blink

Tonight we’ve had possibly Malaysia’s most famous DJ duo to ever come out of Kuala Lumpur, it’s Goldfish & Blink! They been all over at world stages left right and center, we have a sit down with them to chat about what makes them tick.

Blink’s real name is Lau Hoe Yin and Goldfish is Alvin Teoh. The two started off playing in clubs in KL and worked with each other for a good while till realizing a partnership between them would spell Malaysia’s new DJ powerhouse duo. By 2012, they released their self-titled debut album to much fanfare to both the local and international scene.

Their big break was in 2013 when Hardwell played their Here We Go Again track during the Winter Music Conference. Where it all ended up with Hardwell signing the song and signing them under his publishing house label. Goldfish & Blink has received support from Tiesto, David Guetta, Nicky Romero, W & W and even the great, Benny Benassi during their gigs.

When asked about how the two work together, Goldfish points out that during their production period, he excels in the creating the melodies while Blink is superb with his mixing skill. During their down time, Blink admits to heading out for a foot massage, while Goldfish would do travelling! (With the family, whenever possible)

For the record, Goldfish and Blink scored 12!
