David Lai, Magician

21-Dec-15 20:00

David Lai

David Lai is man who possesses talent within the realms of mystery, deception, intrigue and wonderment. To most people, he is a mentalist magician. Mentalist magic is a division of magic which concentrates on the human mind. Metal bending, reading people’s thoughts, linguistic deception and muscle reading are the name of the game and David excels in them.

What started off as a hobby by testing magic with friends and gaining confidence from it, David later went on to perform for strangers on the streets of KL, restaurants, pubs and private events. Funny enough, he studied engineering until he decided to make the jump towards magic. He felt it challenging and hard doing seven shows a week and performing 5-6 hours a day, if needed. However, he kept on producing magic on stage until one day he came back to Malaysia with Superstars Of Magic, which is the most successful magic show at Resort World Genting.

Also, David has been awarded the Merlin Award for Best Magic Producer in 2012. He plans to continue with Superstars Of Magic season 4 whilst coming up with a whole new magic circus show which will definitely be a spectacle not to be missed.
