Alan Quah

Tonight, we were joined by Alan Quah! A man whose art transports us to new worlds and fantasies where only a comic book can let us dive in and let us sail with superpowers when reality falters.

Alan has been in with this comic book art business many moons ago where his career was kickstarted by APAzine, a fan magazine pushed by Daniel Chan of NST and published by Berita Publishing. Quickly enough, Alan was voted by Daniel’s readers as the best inker from his weekly comic newspaper.

Fallen out of illustrating after obtaining his degree in Advertising and creating his own ad agency, EL CETERA. Alan went back to drawing after his art sabbatical in 2005 and got a gig almost immediately for The Eldrich for the Comic Company, an indie company. He formed Komikaki Studios in 2008, a studio where over the years have worked for DC, MTVN, Capstone, Heroverse and DDP.

Alan’s notable work was his art for Legendary Comics’ Godzilla: Awakening, a prequel comic for the 2014 blockbuster movie, Godzilla and also DC’s The Vampire Diaries.

For the record, Alan scored 5 points!

If you liked what you've heard and would like to know more, head over to That Time Of Night.
