Van Dijk To The Rescue

Liverpool moved 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League with a dramatic 2-1 victory over West Ham at Anfield, sealed by Virgil van Dijk’s towering 89th-minute header. On an emotionally charged day that coincided with the Hillsborough anniversary, Luis Díaz opened the scoring for the hosts, only for an Andy Robertson own goal to level things late on. But just as the game seemed destined for a draw, Van Dijk rose to the occasion—both literally and figuratively—to edge Liverpool closer to a historic 20th league title.

Elsewhere, Arsenal's title hopes took another dent after a frustrating home draw with Brentford, while Everton stunned Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to a late strike from Abdoulaye Doucouré. At St. James' Park, it was a night to forget for Manchester United. With André Onana dropped, stand-in keeper Altay Bayındır endured a rough PL debut as Newcastle dismantled United 4-1 in dominant fashion.

All that, plus Champions League previews, on this episode of Just For Kicks.
