The project to establish a regional code of media ethics is a work in progress, as the regional grouping itself has been since its founding some 50 years ago. But as we approach another milestone in ASEAN’s evolution, media practitioners expect that increased regional cooperation will require new, region-wide ways of working across borders, cultures and political systems.
