Subang Jaya celebrates its 40th birthday this year and in conjunction with that, for two weeks, we bring to you stories from Subang-nites touching base with the exciting cultures, its vibrant community and rich heritage of the township. To kick off the series, we take a look-back at the history & early development of the city with heritage crusader Elizabeth Cardosa, the Executive Director of Badan Warisan Malaysia. And then, with the diversity of its residents, who brings together these differing opinions and ideas? Enter Teoh Teik Hoong, who aims to be the pulse of Subang Jaya by being the sole editor of SJ Echo - a community newspaper that been making its rounds in Subang Jaya for the last nine years.
