Reading with Rumah Attap

Has the digital age created a new challenge for libraries? With the advent of ebooks, reading has become something of a digital realm. The group behind Rumah Attap Library & Collective believes that libraries are still relevant and very much needed for the fostering of literacy and education. Tucked in the Zhongshan building--previously a row of 1950's shophouses, Rumah Attap Library & Collective aims to not only function as a library but also a space for intellectual discourse. This week we are joined by one-third of the collective, Show Ying Xin as she explains the conceptualization of the space.
