CD Projekt Red - Just Another Corpo After All?

After the goodwill that they’ve garnered with the highly acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, expectations were high for CD Projekt Red and their next game, Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, the game arrived under a string of controversies - from claims of “crunch” practices by the management prior to the release, to underwhelming performances on base consoles, including bugs, glitches and crashes everywhere. Despite selling well, they also had to deal with refund claims from gamers, and Sony pulling their game from the Playstation Store. CD Projekt Red’s stock plummeted, as a result, and their once squeaky-clean reputation with gamers is now in tatters. So, are they now just like any other developers and publishers that have been accused of prioritising revenue over everything else? And will they survive this backlash? Apart from that, we also share our experiences playing Cyberpunk 2077 in its current state, on our brand new show on video games, Good Game, Well Played.
