Proton Launches the X50

There isn't much to talk about in the news this week, but Daniel Fernandez stumbles upon some data on Nissan Leaf EV sales and finds its slow uptake quite surprising. With about 100 units sold in the past few years, and a reasonable price tag (RM188k), why isn't anybody going out to buy one? For the car launches, we talk about the all-new and eagerly anticipated Proton X50, its trim levels and what we you can expect from it.

For our Used Car Guide, we're talking about a posh breadvan called the Toyota Alphard. We admit that we'd never thought of doing a buying guide of the Alphard due to its place in local car culture, but its reputation doesn't seem to faze the general Malaysian population who are looking for a massive, dependable and luxurious people-carrier. Daniel Fernandez gives us an insight into the Alphard's quirks, general maintenance issues and the reasons as to why Malaysians love them so much.
