“Orientalisme” mengkaji hubungan Barat-Timur, dengan melihat persepsi dunia Barat ke atas Timur, dan bagaimana ianya mempengaruhi dinamik hubungan tersebut. Bila Larut Malam akan cuba mengupas asas Orientalisme, berdasarkan hasil kerja Edward Said, serta melihat bagaimana teori ini kekal relevan dalam dunia moden yang berkiblatkan Barat, dan kesannya ke atas kita yang hidup di Timur ini. Kami juga menyentuh sedikit hasil kerja “Mitos Pribumi Malas”, yang mempunyai kaitan dengan pemikiran Orientalisme.
