Bar None: S2E23 - Walking Like A Champion

Besides being named National Sportsman of the Year in 1978, the successes of V Subramaniam include winning six gold medals and five silvers in five SEA Games. He then marched on to become a national walks coach with the National Sports Council where he nurtured many national walkers to glory including Olympian Annastasia Karen Raj. Unfortunately, things took a different turn after he lost his job of 11 years which then led him to a different line of work. He joins us as we capture his thoughts on the livelihood of retired athletes and inculcating the walking culture to keep racewalking as a sport alive.
