Behind The Malaysian Outfit

The Summer Olympics may be about sports but it has been a tradition where countries showcase their national designs and cultural heritage at the opening ceremony. Our Malaysian contingent’s attire drew mixed reactions from the public as the Jalur Gemilang & Hang Tuah inspired design was paired with modern geometric patterns. The team behind it is led by UiTM fashion lecturer Khairulazlan Abdul Karim. He joins us on the show - bringing us behind the scenes of what goes into designing a national outfit.
