Rock & Roll vs Academia

What do you get when you put two rockstar academics and one rockstar-wannabe together? You get an episode of A Bit of Culture that focuses on music. Returning guest Adil Johan kicks off the show by looking back at the heavy metal and underground scene in Malaysia in the 90s and early 2000s. Kam Raslan then talks about blues and whether the genre is guilty of cultural appropriation. In the second part, Azmyl Yunor reflects on the duality of being a rockstar and an academic and how to navigate the two.
