The Boy-Girl Dynamics

In this edition of A Bit of Culture, Kam Raslan welcomes back writer Ann Lee together with actor / director Na'a Murad to the cultural threefold. Starting off this Merdeka eve episode is Na'a, with his cynical view on Hollywood's trendy tendencies in addressing on-screen equity, citing the upcoming James Bond movie as an example of a lazy attempt at representation. Kam then turns the entire conversation on its head with his observation on plot twists - his thoughts on what works and what doesn't. To round it off, Ann shares her first exposure to the term "steam punk", recounting her experience being absolutely blown away by a steampunk musical in Tagalog.
