Will New Social Media Licensing Be Effective?

The Ministry of Communications is introducing new social media licensing under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, aimed at tackling cyber crimes like online fraud and sexual exploitation of children. We discuss this with Dr. Benjamin Loh, Director for Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions Impact Lab at Taylor University on whether these measures will hold social media platform providers accountable and tackle cybersecurity
