Rising Lawyer-Related CBT Cases

Bukit Aman recorded 33 criminal breach of trust cases involving lawyers nationwide last year, which resulted in over 30 million ringgit in losses. The police expect more cases to be reported in 2024, noting that last year’s losses were higher than those in 2022. Criminal lawyer Goh Cia Yee shares his perspective on why we have seen a rise in such cases over the past few years.
