On Food, Education, and Safety for Children

Now that the Movement Control Order has been extended until the end of April, concerns over the state of vulnerable groups in Malaysia have become even more dire. However, there is none more vulnerable than the child. Children from low income families are now lacking basic necessities like food, and are in some cases at risk of becoming victims of domestic violence. To help us understand the situation, we speak to James Nayagam, chairman of Suriana Welfare Society, about the struggle for food, education, and safety facing these children, and what laws the country needs to protect them.
