MyNews is the largest home-grown convenience store operator and the second largest player overall. However its biggest competitor, 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings, has a significant lead here with over 70% market share in the segment, operating over 2,000 stores. On top of that, Family Mart entered the market recently and has made a name for itself in the sector.
