On The Ground At The Cameron By-Election

On Saturday (Jan 26), Barisan Nasional Ramli Mohd Nor became the first orang asli to be elected as an MP after winning the Cameron Highlands by-election. He won the seat by a 3,238-vote majority in a four-cornered contest against Pakatan Harapan candidate M. Manogaran and independent candidates Sallehudin Ab Talib and Wong Seng Yee.

John shares his on the ground experience covering the Cameron Highlands by-election. Did the voters vote based on personality or party? Did bread and butter issues or national issues influence the votes? We discuss these with him.

Listen in.
