The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) foresees local e-commerce revenue achieving RM1.65 trillion by 2025. This is supported by Shopee's latest data indicating that Gen Zs prefer to shop online versus at physical stores. Ganesh Kumar Bangah, an advisor and former chairman of the National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM), shares his insights.
