Gig workers are set to receive stronger protections under the newly passed Gig Workers Bill. Dato’ Freddie Fernandez, President of the Malaysian Artistes’ Association (Karyawan), welcomed the move, highlighting the tripartite council established to determine income and working conditions as a key benefit for workers in the entertainment sector.
