The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have started an investigation on Sam Waltman’s OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT, and echoes calls that AI needs to be regulated by Elon Musk and Geofrey Hinton. Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said Malaysia will also consider an artificial intelligence regulatory framework. We speak with Zachary Scully, Partner of RHTLaw Asia and HMS Law to get his views on the rules we may expect to see in an AI regulation framework.
