The ECRL Boost to Stocks, States, and Sectors

According to MIDF Research, the recently revived East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project is expected to contribute 2.7% to Malaysia’s economic growth.

We ask Danial Razak, a Construction Analyst at MIDF, to breakdown the report for us, from the multiplier effect to the stocks, sectors and states that will benefit from the project. The boost should last from the inception of the project until the end of it, and the full estimated gross domestic product (GDP) contribution will depend on the spillover effects to other economic sectors.
