Where Is Malaysia's Automotive Sector Zooming To?

The Malaysian Automotive Association's latest vehicle sales data showed that there were 36% more vehicles sold in August this year from the previous month. This was mainly because of backlogged orders with dealers trying to beat the June 30th deadline for the Sales & Service Tax exemption. Jim Lim, an analyst at RHB Research, takes us through what we might expect for the sector amidst supply chain constraints along with Putrajaya's push to encourage EV adoption with its various incentives.
