A slew of economic and political events such as geopolitical unrest in Ukraine, inflation risk, regulatory crackdown and resurgence of Covid have disrupted the world markets. Malaysia being an emerging Asian economy that runs an oil and gas trade surplus with trade in energy accounting for 0.4% of GDP seems to appear resilient.
