Yesterday, the long-awaited Sabah RCI report was released. The document identifies syndicates and corrupt bodies contributing to the influx of immigrants who have changed the socio-economic landscape of Sabah over the past four decades. The report does not address directly allegations about the existence of Project IC - exchanging citizenship for votes - though it was mentioned throughout the proceedings. Will the findings prompt better enforcement? We speak to a political scientist and lawmaker to make sense of the direction of the report.
