Rule of Law - Overlooked By Politicians?

Red Shirts leader, Datuk Jamal Yunos, has come out to say that his group will hold a demonstration to demand the shutdown of the Bar Council. This comes after Datuk Rahman Dahlan, Minister in the PM’s department, stating that Putrajaya will blacklist law firms who will support the upcoming Bersih 5 rally.

Critics, however, argue that this shows a poor understanding of our legal system.

BFM explores the rationale behind the minister’s statement, and whether these actions are in line with the rule of law.
