Top 5 at 5: Understanding the Political Sentiments of Malay Youths

In the 2022 GE15, Perikatan Nasional secured 30% of the popular vote with a significant surge in support from young voters, especially young Malays. But a recent study by IMAN Research reveals that much of this support was driven by protest rather than a genuine shift toward Islamist politics. We spoke to Aziff Azuddin, Political Researcher at IMAN Research, to better understand where Malay youth sentiment truly lies.
