Susan has won Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore, for her performance in Rain Town, a Malaysian drama by director Tunku Mona Riza. Susan herself speaks to us about what this win means for her.

· Malaysian Films in SGIFF:
Two films, Peperiskaan, directed by Wong Tuck Ho as well as Washhh directed by Mickey Lai is premiering at the Singapore International Film Festival. We speak to both directors about the inspiration behind these films.

· ‘Brainrot’ is Oxford’s Word of the Year:
It's defined as "the supposed deterioration of a person's mental or intellectual state" as a result of overconsuming trivial or unchallenging material. With the accelerated rise of online content, it's not a shock that this has made its way into the word of the year, but what's also interesting is the degree of self-awareness that the digital generation have for themselves. We speak to Elaine Fernandez, a social psychologist and COO at GIFT.ed, about why online content is so addictive to us, even when we know it's bad.
