Top 5 at 5: Is The Sabah's Cabinet Line Up A Betrayal?

Sabah’s new Cabinet has reignited debate over voter trust, with GRS reversing its campaign pledge by including Barisan Nasional in the coalition. Supporters argue it stabilises the government, but critics see it as a betrayal of Sabah’s mandate for local parties, raising questions about unity, federal negotiations, and the state’s political future. We get into it.

Minimum wage used as benchmark for graduates: Human Resource Minister Steven Sim has cautioned employers against pegging fresh graduates’ salaries to the RM1,700 minimum wage, warning it distorts pay scales and undervalues professional skills. We look at why this is detrimental with Andrew Pereira, Senior Advisor at the Taylor’s Education Group.

New minister posts to be filled in Madani govt: Despite months of speculation about a major reshuffle, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says only four vacancies will be filled - in Investment, Trade and Industry, the Economy, Natural Resources, and Entrepreneur Development. We talk about it.

Sarawak shields Pangolins: Sarawak is upgrading pangolins to ‘Totally Protected’ status under its Wildlife Protection Ordinance, reflecting their critically endangered state as the world’s most trafficked mammal. We speak to Dr Chong Ju Lian, Associate Professor & Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu about this.

KLIA's new 10 minute rule: After a successful trial, KLIA has fully enforced its quick pick-up and drop-off system, cutting overstays from 50% to 21%. With licence plate recognition and penalties for exceeding the 10-minute grace period, the airport hopes smoother traffic flow will ease holiday travel and prepare for Visit Malaysia Year.
