On to the second book in the series of 50. This gothic work Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (nee Wollstonecraft Godwin) was born out of a competition among other writers Percy Shelley and Lord Byron. Inclement weather in the Swiss Alps kept the company indoors. And in the absence of cable TV, internet or wireless connectivity, the company read and wrote.
