Economic Justice at Work: Closing the Pay Gap

Economic justice at work is about more than closing the gender pay gap. It’s about creating workplaces where fairness is built into every level, from hiring, and promotions to leadership decisions and culture. Yet despite years of conversation around pay equity, many organisations still struggle to turn policies into real, measurable progress.

In this episode, Vaclav Koranda, CEO and Principal Consultant at Jebat Consulting, shares why economic justice must move beyond token statements to systemic change. He explores how inequities often hide in plain sight within organisational structures and what it takes for leaders to truly embed fairness into their DNA.

We also explore the business case for equity — why it’s not just the right thing to do but a strategy that drives innovation, retention, and long-term growth. And crucially, we ask: what progressive steps can leaders take today to close the gap for good and sustain that momentum?
