High Connectivity, Low Carbon Footprint

The world as we know it is fast changing. As telecommunications network equipment becomes more IP-based, energy consumption requirements have also increased steadily. There is a need to develop new, inexpensive, clean energy sources to fuel the growth of the industry.

With demand for wireless infrastructure on the rise accelerating to meet the growing bandwidth for 4G and 5G networks, we may be heading into a world where we would have to build telcos every 500 metres and more antennas on building tops.

But, is this solution viable? Is there no better way to reach ultimate connectivity and reduce the carbon footprint in the process?
