3D Printing & Bone Regeneration

Tissue engineering has been a widely discussed topic for the past 3 decades. However, like many fields of medicine, numerous risks and challenges may surface such as tumours or graft rejection in which the body outright rejects the donated graft and begins destroying the transplanted tissue or organ, among others. Furthermore, the process is complicated, is costly, and is labour-intensive. Enter 3D printing, also known as bioprinting,  an increasingly popular alternative that is safer, more cost and time-effective, and allows patients to receive unique implants that are modelled specifically for them. We speak with the CTO of Osteopore, a global regenerative solutions leader.
