Family businesses are said to provide more opportunity for women in management and leadership roles in comparison to non-family businesses according to a survey report by Ernst and Young, and despite the rise of women’s empowerment globally, gender disparity remains a challenge for women to navigate the male-dominated world of business. Joanne Kua, CEO of KSK Group Berhad and Managing Director of KSK Land Sdn Bhd, was recently listed in Forbes Asia’s Emergent 25 List – a list featuring Asia’s newest top businesswomen. She shares her experience with us.
