The Importance of Commercialisation and Innovation In Building A Thriving Economy

Today we get into innovation and commercialisation as we head towards the Malaysia Commercialisation Year 2023 Summit.

We speak to Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Nor Azman Bin Hassan, the Deputy Secretary General (Technology Development) of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) on how the summit plays a role as a showcase for the ongoing work to commercialise products, technologies, and services born out of dedicated Research, Development, Commercialisation and Innovation (R,D,C&I) efforts by Universities, Institutions, and Local Research Agencies.

We also get into the importance and economic prospects of innovation and entrepreneurship, examples of local researchers and entrepreneurs who have successfully commercialised their R&D products and technology services in both local and international markets, and the importance of spending money on R&D as a nation.
