How To Keep Malaysian Startups in Malaysia

In a bid to raise venture capital funding to continue growing, Malaysian startups sometimes have to make the hard choice of relocating to Singapore. A famous example here is Grab.

In this edition of Biz Bytes, we explore whether this is an inevitable story for Malaysian startups as they grow or whether they raise money from global investors without having to move.

Weighing in on this was Dr Sivapalan Vivekarajah, Co-founder and Partner at ScaleUp Malaysia, Ramachandran Muniandy, CEO & Co-Founder of Asia Mobiliti, and Nadira Yusoff, Co-Founder and CEO of Kiddocare.

Asia Mobiliti and Kiddocare are part of the 100Soonicorns program designed to groom the next unicorns of Malaysia. The program is run by ScaleUp Malaysia and Proficeo in partnership with Penjana Kapital and MDEC - the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation.
