11 Interventions to Elevate Venture Capital in Malaysia by 2030

Enterprise explores the Malaysia Venture Capital Roadmap (MVCR) 2024-2030 with Noor Amy Ismail, COO of MAVCAP.

Launched by The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and the Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad (MAVCAP), this 33-page roadmap hopes to elevate Malaysia’s perception in the eyes of the venture capital world and make Malaysia a preferred venture capital hub in Southeast Asia.

The roadmap spotlights three strategic pillars: improving the ease of doing business, enhancing funding accessibility, and elevating Malaysia's venture capital talent pool.

From streamlining cross-border capital flows and establishing a centralised VC platform to aligning tax incentives and broadening exit options, we will dive into how the strategies and interventions aim to foster a more conducive and vibrant environment for venture capital in Malaysia and turn this map into reality.
