A Lifeline for Domestic Abuse Survivors

The suspension of the Talian Kasih hotline for a few hours yesterday was swiftly criticised, which eventually led to its reactivation. We take a look at why hotlines like this are a lifeline for women and children forced to be in an abusive home during the movement restriction order.
---
If you are a victim of domestic abuse or are worried about someone who is, or simply wish to speak to someone confidentially, you can call Talian Kasih at 15999 or Whatsapp 019 261 5999. Alternatively, call the WAO Hotline at 03 7956 3488 or SMS/WhatsApp TINA at 018 988 8058.
