Greater Ulu Muda Forest Threatened Again?

Today we're exploring the new Kedah Menteri Besar's recent media announcement that the state government would continue logging in the Greater Ulu Muda Forest, to avoid legal claims from logging companies amounting to RM1.5bil. This came as a shock to many conservationists, who have long been championing to protect the area from logging and deforestation. Ulu Muda is acclaimed for its biodiversity and function as a water catchment area, so we explore the repercussions of losing this priceless ecosystem to loggers.
