Time to Unionize!

Human Resource Minister V Sivakumar (DAP/PH) recently announced a deferment for micro businesses, giving them another six months (which is up until July) before they have to comply with the minimum wage laws and raise their employee salaries to at least RM1,500. 

The new minimum wage of RM 1500 had already come into effect nationwide from May 2022, but micro businesses were given an exemption and would initially have to start paying the higher rate from January 1 this year. We discuss.
